Short Description As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I understand “problems” from within the context of relationships, particularly family and/or romantic relationships. I am a collaborative therapist; my therapeutic approach is to provide empathy, support, and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With over fifteen years of experience working with couples, families, and individuals – I am well-equipped with skills and knowledge to help with many types of challenges. I earned a Doctorate degree in Family Science and a Master’s degree in Couples and Family therapy from the University of Maryland, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University. Tiffani is a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator and enjoys providing counseling for couples preparing for marriage. Prior to entering private practice, Tiffani worked as a therapist at the University of Maryland’s Center for Healthy Families. She also provided training regarding healthy parenting practices to Spanish-speaking Latino immigrants. As an undergraduate student, she interned as a play therapist in an orphanage in Romania, working with children with behavior problems, developmental delays, and reactive attachment disorder.
