Marlene Riggs, LCSW, is licensed in Utah. Dedicated to helping each client on their pathways to hope, healing, and wellness, she provides a safe and nurturing environment, utilizing evidence-based interventions. With a strengths-based, trauma informed approach, she helps clients work through past traumas, navigate current life challenges, and receive clarity and direction with relationship issues. She has experience with children, adolescents and adults encountering anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma and PTSD, eating disorders, grief, substance use, life transitions, emotion regulation, and relationship issues. She is Master Certified in Accelerated Resolution therapy, which is a trauma treatment intervention. She is EMDR trained. She has training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Inference based CBT (I-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Substance use and addiction, attachment trauma, Mind Body Bridging, and is level II Gottman method couples therapy trained. By building a trusting alliance, we can engage in multi-disciplinary methods to increase your hope, healing, and happiness. Marlene is a graduate of The University of Utah with a master’s degree in social work.
In her spare time, Marlene loves spending time with her husband and family. She loves being out in nature doing things such as walking, hiking and boating. She loves playing the piano, reading/listening to audiobooks about health and therapy related topics, and enjoys historical fiction and biographies. She loves traveling with her family!
